Whats in a name?

A family member gave me a book called “The Hart of Everything That Is.” It narrates Red Cloud’s struggle to preserve the Indian way of life. What struck me were the mystical spirits that governed everything in nature, including the people. Despite their wisdom, the Indians were often labeled as savages and barbarians, a hypocrisy coming from the supposedly enlightened socialites who had engaged in similar behaviors under different deities.

Tattooed people have always been on the fringes of society, willing to break away from conformity and express their personalities, loves, and lives on their skin. Tattoos are honest in that they reveal something about a person based on the type and amount of artwork they have. We can infer how much time and physical pain they went through, as well as their mental stability and self-confidence, from the trust they placed in an artist to create a piece of art that would stay with them for life. We can also get a glimpse of their deepest motivations or hidden darkness beneath the surface.

We come from a savage heritage, basking in the light of our freedom and independence from the norm. And from this heritage, Savage Son Tattoo Syndicate was born.
