Tattoo Prep

Before You Get Tattooed:

Skin Prep:

No tanning or waxing; we want your skin in its natural state. Use lotion over the area the night before.

Alcohol:

No booze the night before or morning of your tattoo appointment.

Pills:

No aspirin or any other blood thinners unless they're doctor-approved. Do not stop taking prescribed

medications for your appointment.

Sleep:

Get plenty the night before; it helps to be well rested.

Gym Rat:

No gym right before your tattoo appointment.

Food & Hydration:

Eat a full meal before the session. Carbs, fat, proteins, sugars, and potassium. All help tattoo endurance.

Hygiene:

Shower, yes. Deodorant, please. Cologne? Nobody likes sitting next to that.

Numbing Agents:

Leave those at home. It turns your skin to rubber and bleeds like hell.

Clothes:

Dress comfy and ready for ink splatters. Tank tops for upper arm and gym shorts for upper thigh tattoos. Cold? Bring a jacket or a blanket.

Snacks / Entertainment:

Bring your own munchies or order in. We've got entertainment but feel free to bring your own headphones or a book.

Payment:

Cash is king, but I also accept credit cards with a 4% fee. Payment is due at each session

Kids & Pets:

They're great, but not here. Find them a babysitter or pet-sitter. Its a health and safety thing for everyone.

Feeling Under the Weather?: Call to reschedule; I’d prefer not to get my self or anyone else at the shop sick.

Tattoo Studio Etiquette:

Respect the Space:

Don't touch what isn't yours. That includes equipment, art and people.

Tipping:

Appreciated but not necessary - think of it as your artist for not turning your tattoo into a meme. 10-20% is about average.

Design:

Be sure about what you want. Changing your mind at the last minute is like asking a chef to cook a different meal after they've started.

After Plans:

Don't plan anything post-tattoo. Some sessions run longer than planned.

On Time:

Be on time, not early. Late by more than 30 minutes is considered a no show and your appointment is canceled.

Intoxication:

Be sober We're here for tattoos. Drink on someone else’s time

Sneeze & Cough:

Sneeze or cough into your elbow and wash your hands.

During Tattoo:

Keep still, fidgeting and moving around causes unplanned tattoos. Do not touch the tattoo area.
