Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book with you?
Start with the inquiry form. Give your concept, placement, size, and references. If the project fits my work, we schedule a consult and secure your date with a deposit.

What kind of work do you take on?
Large, story-driven tattoos. Color realism, surrealism, fantasy, sci-fi, and narrative pieces. I do not take on minimal, fine-line, or trend-based tattoos.

Do I need a full idea before reaching out?
No. Bring the theme and meaning. I handle the composition and visual direction.

How much will my tattoo cost?
I work at a full-day rate of $2k and an hourly rate of $300. Final cost depends on placement, detail, and the size of the project.

Will I see my design before the appointment?
Most designs are created during the week of your appointment along with the morning of the session to match your anatomy. Minor adjustments can be discussed at the start of the appointment.

Do you use numbing cream?
No. Numbing interferes with the skin. If you show up with numbing cream applied, the session will be rescheduled.

How long are your sessions?
Most sessions are full-day or multi-day to ensure a calm workflow and better results.

Do you require a deposit?
Yes. Deposits secure your date, cover prep time, and are non-refundable.

Can I bring someone with me?
One quiet guest is allowed. They must stay out of the workspace and avoid distractions.

Do you tattoo pregnant or breastfeeding clients?
No. I do not tattoo during pregnancy or breastfeeding for safety reasons.

How should I prepare for my appointment?
Get good sleep, hydrate, eat a solid meal, and wear comfortable clothing that gives access to the tattoo area.

What should I avoid before my appointment?
Avoid alcohol, sunburn, tanning beds, numbing cream, and staying up late.

Can I use headphones during the session?
Yes, as long as you remain still and can hear instructions when needed.

Do tattoos hurt more on certain body parts?
Yes. Ribs, stomach, feet, spine, and armpits are more painful. Arms and legs tend to be easier.

Can I take breaks?
Short breaks are fine. Too many breaks slow the session and increase discomfort.

What if I have a low pain tolerance?
You can still get through the session. Communicate when needed, breathe, and stay as still as you can.

Can I drink caffeine before my tattoo?
In moderation. Too much caffeine makes the body twitchy and affects the session.

Can I drink alcohol the night before?
No. It thins blood, affects pain tolerance, and interferes with tattooing.

Can I bring food or drinks?
Yes. Water and light snacks are fine.

What should I bring with me?
Water, snacks, headphones, and comfortable clothing. Avoid heavy bags or anything that restricts movement.

Do you cover old tattoos?
Sometimes. It depends on saturation, placement, and the new design. Some pieces require laser first.

Do you tattoo over scars?
Yes, if the scar is at least a year old, fully healed, and flat.

Will my tattoo fade?
All tattoos fade over time. Good aftercare and sun protection keep it vibrant longer.

How long does healing take?
Initial healing takes about 2 to 4 weeks. Full settling takes a few months.

Can I work out after getting tattooed?
Avoid heavy workouts for a few days. Sweat and friction can irritate fresh tattoos.

Can I swim or soak in water after?
No. Avoid pools, hot tubs, lakes, and baths until the tattoo is fully healed.

Do you do multi-day sessions?
Yes. Many large projects benefit from back-to-back days.

Will certain colors heal differently?
Darker, saturated colors hold best. Pastels and very light colors fade more quickly, depending on skin tone and aftercare.

Can I request changes to the design?
Small adjustments are fine. Major changes require new planning and may need to be rescheduled.

Can I see healed examples of your work?
Yes. Healed photos are available in my portfolio and social channels.

Why can’t I get a quote without size and placement?
Because time and difficulty depend entirely on those two details.

Do you tattoo minors?
No.

Can you replicate another artist’s style?
No. I do not copy other artists’ work or styles.

What happens if I’m late?
If you’re late beyond a certain point, the session may be shortened at full price or canceled and considered a no show.

What happens if I arrive sick?
You will be asked to reschedule. Tattooing while sick is unsafe and uncomfortable.

What if I need to reschedule?
With proper notice, your deposit moves to the new date. Last-minute changes result in loss of deposit.

Do you travel for work?
Yes. I rotate through Texas, Washington, Colorado, Florida, Montana, with Vegas as home base.

How do I know you're the right artist for me?
If you want bold, narrative work and trust the process, we’ll work well together. If you want trends or micromanagement, I’m not the right fit.
